So Christmas is just around the corner, and I feel like I’ve barely had time to breathe this December. All the weeks of advent have rushed by in a blur of work, social events, cleaning, building furniture, and a constant feeling of not getting enough sleep. Haha! But don’t mind me. I’m not complaining at all, because all the things keeping me busy are things I love. I just wish I had room in my schedule to take like, three weeks off in December so that I could take things a bit more slowly and really savor the Christmas spirit. Yesterday, for instance, we went to see the new Nutcracker ballet at the Opera house, which was absolutely amazing! I strongly recommend seeing it next year if you can! I, however, had to rush to get there in time, and afterwards had to rush back home, and barely even got to admire the lovely Christmas and costume displays set up at the Opera. I guess that’s the result of being a so-called grown up with grown up responsibilities, though, and there’s not much else to do but layer up against the cold and try my best to slow down for a few minutes every day, at the very least!
